We had turkeys in the front yard at Gracefield Hall. I hear them in the woods all the time but it has been quite a while, over a year, since I have seen any. Two years ago we had several hens and about six chicks (is that what they are called?) in the front yard. I knew turkeys could fly but the speed and height they all gained when I accidently spooked them was surprising.
Well, two days ago we had a pair walk through the front yard. It appeared to be a hen and tom but could not be certain.
