A luna moth got entangled in the deer netting on one of the cherry trees this morning. I was checking the cherry trees this morning and spotted a luna moth caught between the folds in the deer netting. I was able to get it untangled and it spread its wings. It did not fly away but seemed content to sit there and warm itself as the sun rose over the tops of the trees in the forest behind the house. I will check it later to ensure it is OK but it seemed to be uninjured. They are very beautiful!
