Look to your left at the wide plank pine flooring in the parlor and passage and you will notice it is continuous from the parlor through the door threshold and into the passage. Now look at the threshold at the dining room door and you will notice a perpendicular floor board in the door opening indicating where the flooring ended at what was then the exterior wall before the dining room and study addition was built.

Wide plank pine flooring in the passage stops at the door threshold to the dining room. The perpendicular threshold board indicates where the original exterior wall was opened for the door to the dining room.
